- Part-time Veterinarian
Description
Part-time Small Animal Veterinarian wanted at our outpatient clinic. Have you wanted reduced hours to spend more time with your family? This job offers reduced hours with some long weekends off.
Experience of at least 2 years required. We are in New Haven,CT close to Yale and near the Long Island Sound. We are a member clinic of The Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine in North Haven. At the office you would do consultations, physical exams, and minor procedures. At the office we provide an intimate setting to get to know clients and their pets well. We do our dental and surgical procedures at the Central Hospital with state-of-the-art equipment. The Central Hospital also has many specialists on staff that you can easily consult. More difficult cases can be referred to our Internal Medicine or Surgical Departments. Other specialists there include 2 ophthalmologists, a cardiologist, a sports medicine and rehab specialist, 2 radiologists, and 2 neurologists. We also have a behavior resident on staff.
Your schedule would be exams on Thursday and Fridays and every other Saturday 1/2 day. Your surgery/dental schedule would be every other Wednesday at the Central Hospital. You would have 1 Friday a month off.

Requirements
Candidates will need excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for animal welfare. A DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution and a valid Connecticut veterinary license are required. Experience with companion animals is essential, and proficiency in surgical and dental procedures is needed. Requirements:
Valid veterinary and DEA licenses.
2+ years of experience in companion animal veterinary care
Proficiency in routine surgical procedures
Proficiency in dental procedures including dental films
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
